Releasing the teaser of 'Yuddham Sharanam', its lead Naga Chaitanya has a motivational message to say: When the odds betray. When hope is so bleak! When my cage is rattled ... I dare to survive!

The self-referential message says it all. Here is a thriller whose protagonist has a lot of obstacles stacked against him, all the doors have been shut on him, the members in his life may have been endangered, but he ultimately emerges victorious, smashing the existential threat.

There is action, but it seems to be measured instead of being highly overdone. There is romance (Lavanya Tripathi is the female lead), but it's not your pulling-her-legs and stalking-her-at-all-costs kind of one. There is a family (yesteryear acting super-talent Revathi and Rao Ramesh) whose affection knows no bounds. And, above all, there is a villain and he is not your regular one.

Directed by Krishna Marimuthu, 'YS' is produced by Rajani Korrapati of Vaarahmi Chalana Chitram.

Written by David R Nathan of 'Gentleman' fame, it comes with Abburi Ravi's dialogues. And David and Abburi Ravi have co-written the screenplay. Vivek Sagar of 'Pelli Choopulu' fame is the music director, while the cinematography is by Niketh Bommi.

The film will hit the screens in August 11th.
