Released ahead of schedule on the occasion of Mahesh Babu's birthday, the Teaser of 'SPYder' presents the film as primarily a fight between a super-intelligent, intuitive intelligence officer versus a psychopathic villain.

The antagonist is literally hiding his face from the law. "Nee lanti vaadu unna oori lo ne e lanti vaadu okadu untadu," so goes a line. Mahesh Babu's sharp gaze is on such a villain.

"Aaroju antha madhi janam lo dhakunnave.. adhe bhayam..Bhayapetadam maaku telusu," that's the punch line for you, delivered in Mahesh's famed calm style.

The action shots seen in the Teaser are underwhelming, though. By the way, the villain seems to be striking only during nights.

AR Murugadoss seems to have taken creative liberties with the hero's costumes while he is on duty. Mahesh is uber-cool. As Rakul Preet's lover boy, who just gives her a blind date, he is romantically kissed.

SJ Suryah surely has a fearsome, pathological gaze. RJ Balaji is seen.

Harish Jayraj's background music and Santosh Sivan's cinematography are impressive.
