Teaser Review: Savitri

  • IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,February 13 2016]

The title Savitri is sure to have a nostalgic ring for the audience. If you thought it will attract the family audience provided the genre is right, it turns out that Nara Rohit's Savitri has the right ingredients.

The teaser, released this Friday, throws several hints of the things to come. The family entertainer seems to have a heroine-oriented story, although the film is not. Dhanya Balakrishnan apparently has a good amount of screenspace, weeks after Nenu Sailaja. Prabhas Sreenu, and Madhu Nandan seem to be playing second fiddle to the hero. Ajay, and Ravi Babu seem to be playing characters with negative shades.

Nanditha of Prema Katha Chitram fame is the female lead, playing a bubbly girl's role, a girl from a well-heeled family. Eager to marry and anxious about being single, she dances to the song 'Aha na pelli anta..' in her characteristically child-like way.
