Krish Jagarlamudi's 'Manikarnika', a biopic on Rani Laxmibai, stars Kangana Ranaut in the titular role.

The news is that the film's teaser will be unveiled on Oct 2.  Fittingly, the teaser for a freedom fighter's movie is coming on the birthday of another freedom fighter.

The biopic was recently in the news over Sonu Sood walking out of the project and Kangana wielding the megaphone for some portions at a time when Krish is busy with 'NTR'. As per some speculative reports, the film's producer has incurred heavy losses due to Krish's exist.

Atul Kulkarni of 'Rang De Basanti' fame has a key role in the movie.  He will be seen in the role of Tantya Tope, the Jhansi warrior-queen's trusted and brave ally.  Since Krish has listened to many folk accounts of Laxmibai, expect the film to tell interesting, unheard of sub-plots about the warrior queen.

Written by the very sensational script-writer Vijayendra Prasad, it will hit the screens on January 25, 2018.
