A very famous choreographer of South India with nearly 45 years experience as independent dance director in South India Thara – a rare catch for the media in Bengaluru was straightforward in her answering a few questions.

Dance director of over 3000 films Thara Madam stated that the present dance direction is similar to all occasions. For happy and sad occasions same steps are seen. We have variety in steps but it is becoming monotonous she pointed.

Thara was cynosure of all eyes on Saturday at Green House Raj Milan. She had come for media briefing of ‘Aadi Purana’. She has directed one song steps set in the 80’s background.

Thara is a proved dance director of Indian cinema. She entered the field in 1964 and in 1975 she became independent dance director. For Kannada she has worked with all top stars of yesteryears. In south Indian cinema industry she has hardly missed any hero or heroine films in dance direction. In 18 films Thara was dance director of Dr Rajakumar films. Of the second generation of actors in Kannada she had hardly missed anyone. Look at Janumada Jodi all six songs are super hits.

The Kannada Nadu and Kannada Ooota is my favorite. I love to work in more films and I started career at the age of five in Karnataka. So fare 3000 plus, I have plans to write to Guinness Records. We should thank Michael Jackson. He has taught us so many things that I have implemented in my films says Thara.
