Taylor Swift has opened up about her relationship with Travis Kelce after being honored as Time's Person of the Year.

"It all started when Travis very sweetly mentioned me on his podcast, which I thought was pretty cool," she shared with Time. "We began hanging out soon after. So, we had quite a substantial period where no one knew, which I appreciated because it allowed us to really get to know each other."

"By the time I attended that first game, we were already a couple," she revealed about her visit to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, on Sept. 24. Swift dismissed speculations about the game being their first date, stating, "We wouldn't be crazy enough to make our first date so public." She was photographed at the game, looking cheerful alongside Kelce's mother, Donna, but expressed surprise at how photographers knew her location, admitting uncertainty about their visibility on the stadium's broadcast.

Swift appeared on camera multiple times during Kelce's game and subsequent matches. "I'm simply there to support Travis," she clarified. "I don't keep track of how frequently I'm shown and if it bothers a few individuals."

Regarding their relationship being public, Swift emphasized the joy of supporting each other openly without concern for public scrutiny. "We're proud of each other and show up to support one another," she stated.

Adding humor, Swift quipped about her newfound appreciation for football, joking, "Turns out, football is awesome! I've been missing out my entire life." Prior to Kelce, Swift had a six-year relationship with actor Joe Alwyn, which was considerably private.

Kelce, in a cover story for WSJ Magazine, disclosed more details about their initial encounter. He mentioned being introduced to Swift’s circle at one of her Eras Tour concerts and receiving a text from Swift herself, revealing how lucky he felt to have connected with her.
