The teaser of 'Taxiwala', produced by GA2 and UV Pictures, was released on Wednesday. SKN is the producer, while Rahul Sankirtyan is the director.
Rahul said, "This is my first film since 'The End'. I feel great to have got to work with Vijay Devarakonda after his hit 'Arjun Reddy'. We have completed the shoot without compromising anywhere. We are very confident. CG works are going on. The movie has come out really well. Everyone will love it."
Priyanka Jawalkar, the film's heroine, said, "I thank the director and my producers for the opportunity. This is my first feature film. I had done 2-3 short films in the past. It was great working with Vijay, who is a very supportive co-star. I hope I will get to do many more movies in Telugu."
Malavika Nair said, "I can't talk much about my character. Suffice it to say that 'Taxiwala' has got a crazy and novel story. That's why I loved to act in the movie."
Producer SKN said, "Among the top production houses in TFI, Geetha Arts and UV Creations are among the frontline ones. Allu Aravind garu always encourages new talent. He has made Bunny Vas and me producers. When I was new at Geetha Arts, I used to put out banners for the movies of Chiranjeevi garu and Pawan Kalyan garu. I feel great that I am a producer under such a banner. 'Taxiwala' is a different movie altogether. I have travelled with Rahul for two years. The film will do the talking for itself once it releases in May. Vijay has worked very hard. We are introducing Priyanka, a Telugu girl, with our movie. Malavika Nair will be seen in a key role."
Bunny Vas said, "We have done this movie because we loved the story."
Allu Aravind said, "This film is a new experience for me. When he listened to the story, Vijay Devarakonda was pretty excited. I wish SKN a bright future. Vijay is a genuine artist. He is like my son. He has got a great future. 'Taxiwala' is a peculiar subject. It's a new concept altogether. GA2 will always encourage those who come up with new stories." The producer also said that the Telugu film industry's image shouldn't be spoiled in the name of seeking justice. "Baahubali-2 made the Telugu film industry proud. But a few months later, some people are insulting the industry," he added.
Vijay Devarakonda said, "I am very proud to see the names of Geetha Arts and UV Creations on the poster of my film. When I became an actor, I had made a checklist of 'To Do' things. And two items in the list are now done! Team 'Taxiwala' is quite young. Aravind garu gave us full freedom. This is a new-age movie. This is a high-concept stress buster. It's a crazy, superb script. We are arriving on May 18."
