Tax raids on Vishal Film Factory

At 2 p.m. on Monday, the GST Intelligence Agency officials have initiated a raid on Vishal's residence and office in Chennai. Reportedly, the raid was conducted by the officials to scrutinize if Vishal's home banner Vishal Film Factory has been paying GST tax correctly. His company's excise records have been scrutinized by the officials.

As the President of Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council, the star hero has been instrumental in effecting some important reforms.

The actor recently took the side of the makers of 'Mersal' over the controversy over its "misinformed" GST remarks.
