Tarun, who awaits the release of 'Idhi Na Love Story', has said in a statement that he and his family are totally shaken by his name appearing in relation to Tollywood's suspected drug scandal.
"I am shocked and surprised to notice that my name has appeared in the media regarding the drugs issue. I am not at all connected to this. I shall fully co-operate with the authorities in their investigation. Myself and my family members are totally shaken and disturbed with this news," the actor has said in an appeal to the media.
Navdeep has said that he has never been into drug abuse. He has spoken of his plans to make a documentary. "I want to create awareness about the scourge of drug abuse," he said.
MAA's Naresh has said that dragging Tanish's name without any proof is unfortunate. "He recently had hard times after his father's death. We actors too are humans with emotions. So, please be sensitive," he has urged the media.
The association has warned its members of stringent action if anybody is found guilty. "But in case an artiste or technician is genuine, we will defend him at all costs," Shivaji Raja has said.
