Nandamuri Taraka Ratna has been getting treated in Bengaluru's Narayana Hrudayalaya. In a video clip that has surfaced on the Internet, producer Tummala Prasanna Kumar is heard saying that the actor is alive and out of danger only because of Balakrishna.

"When Taraka Ratna collapsed in Kuppam and he couldn't be resuscitated, it was Nandamuri Balakrishna garu who recited the Mrityanjaya Mantram into his ears. After that, in no time, the patient's pulse rate showed improvement. It's nothing short of a medical miracle," Prasanna Kumar said.

The producer added that Balayya was there in the hospital till Monday night. "He had to return to Hyderabad on some urgent work concerning the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. Balakrishna garu has been there with Taraka Ratna like a father," Kumar added.

As per Monday's update by the hospital, the patient has been put on ventilatory and other higher supports.
