In an exclusive interview to IndiaGlitz, Sumanth has said that NTR is his most favourite actor among his generation's stars after Mahesh Babu. "Tarak is an all-rounder. He dances well, acts well," Sumanth says.
The Akkineni family actor avers that Rekha was his first celebrity crush. 'Premabhishekam' is the one film he saw most repeatedly as a child. "Remaking it would be a good idea actually," he says when our host suggests that it should be remade.
If and when a biopic on ANR is made, Sumanth would like to play his grandpa himself. (He is essaying ANR's role in 'NTR-Kathanayakudu').
If not an actor, he says, he would have become a sports journalist. When he is most disturbed, Sumanth tries to sleep off.
Talking about his performance as an Engineering student, Sumanth says, "I always used to be last during Engineering. At the film school, though, I used to come first."
When he romanced Kajal Aggarwal in the 2008 film 'Pourudu', Sumanth would tease her about her smile. "She used to smile without her teeth showing. I too started doing it. It's the easiest way to smile, without having to use energy," he quips.
About his 'Mahanandi' co-star Anushka, Sumanth says, "Very warm, friendly, wonderful and genuine human being. One of the nicest humans I have worked with." He remembers Charmme as a warm, bubbly and energetic actress.
Finally, will Sumanth choose Jagan Mohan Reddy because he is a childhood friend or Pawan Kalyan because he is an actor? "I don't have much understanding of politics. I will have to do some homework before I can comment. I have to read up. I have friends in all political parties. But I never discuss politics with any of them. When I vote, I do it secretly as it's a secret ballot," he signs off.
