Director R. Sundarajan is one of the most loved filmmakers in Tamil cinema who has given many a super hit with top stars including Rajinikanth, Vijayakanth, Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Karthik, Mohan, and Vijay. His son Deepak Sundarajan is now all set to make his debut as a director in a new movie.

The as-yet-untitled project has Tapsee Pannu in the lead with Jagapathy Babu in an important character. Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has reportedly agreed to play a pivotal guest role that would be one of the highlights.

The film is bankrolled by Passon Studios and will go on floors in September once the government gives permission for shootings and will be completed in one stretch. The official announcement is expected soon.

Vijay Sethupathi has a number of upcoming movies under various stages of production including 'Master', 'Laabam', 'Kadaisi Vivasayi', 'Tuglaq Durbar', 'Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir' and the Muttiah Muralidharan biopic.

Tapsee apart from her Bollywood projects is also playing the lead heroine opposite Jayam Ravi in 'Jana Gana Mana' directed by Ahmed and costarring Rahman and Gauthami.
