The first proper glimpse inside Taapsee Pannu's highly secretive wedding has finally emerged, though the actor has yet to confirm her marriage to longtime boyfriend Mathias Boe in March. A new video surfaced on Reddit, showcasing not only Taapsee's bridal entry but also the varmala ceremony.
Taapsee, adorned in a stunning red suit and elaborate jewelry, walked towards Mathias, who looked dashing in a sherwani and pagdi. Accompanied by her sister Shagun Pannu and a group of friends, Taapsee proceeded to the outdoor wedding venue for the daytime nuptials.
The iconic song "Kothe Te Aa Mahiya" by Jagjit Singh and Chitra Singh played as Taapsee made her way down the aisle, which in this case was a road inside their wedding hotel. Following the varmala ceremony, the couple was seen dancing, hugging, and kissing in a heartwarming display of affection.
Many Reddit users noted Taapsee's choice of a traditional red bridal outfit, a departure from the trend of beige or pale pink outfits seen in many celebrity weddings. One user commented on the rarity of seeing a red bridal outfit, saying, "When was this? Seeing a red bridal outfit after ages... such a cute look on her. They've (Taapsee and Mathias) been together for a decade I think."
Another user remarked on the fun nature of the ceremony, saying, "Dulha cycle pe aaya tha (The groom arrived on a cycle)! This looks so much fun!! Congratulations to both of them." Comments praising Taapsee's outfit as 'gorgeous', calling her 'such a different celebrity bride', and expressing love for her outfit were also prevalent.
Taapsee reportedly married Mathias on March 23 in Udaipur in an 'extremely intimate affair', with pre-wedding festivities starting on March 20. Photos of film producer Kanika Dhillon and actor Pavail Gulati, seemingly from the wedding, have also garnered attention.
Notably, not many Bollywood celebrities were part of Taapsee's big day. A source mentioned, âTaapseeâs Dobaaraa and Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati joined the guests at her and Mathaisâ wedding. Anurag Kashyap, who shares a rather close bond with Taapsee and has directed her in films like Manmarziyaan and Dobaara and produced Saand Ki Aankh also flew to Udaipur."
Earlier reports had suggested that the wedding celebrations, blending the traditions of Sikhism and Christianity, would be a family affair in Udaipur at the end of March.
