Kangana Ranaut who reprises her role as the lovable Tanu in Eros International's 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' directed by Aanand L Rai , will also be essaying another role in the film - The story that takes off from where the original blockbuster ended, will see Kangana also play the role of a Haryanvi athlete for which the actress has started training hard for.

Talking about the character says Kangana, "Her real name is actually Kusum Sangwan but everyone calls her Datto. She's from the Jhajjar district in Haryana who gets into Delhi University on a sports quota. She is a state-level sprinter, long jumper and triple jumper".

Kangana has started training for the "triple jump" at Nehru Stadium, Delhi under the guidance of coaches Anita Dhaka and Asha Agarwal - "Even though the sports angle is used to add humour to this romantic triangle, I had to work with my trainer on the jumps and sprints. This film could easily be the biopic of a national level sportsperson given the effort," says the actress.

If that wasn't all, Kangana will also start a workshop to train in the dialect spoken in the region .The makers have hired Sunita Sharma to coach the actress during the shoot schedule of the film to maintain character authenticity.

And while this may seem very challenging, Kangana takes it in her stride , "Playing Datto has been a lot of hard work but then acting has never been an easy job, right?".
