Tammareddy Bharadwaja Shares Perspective About Tollywood Meeting Telangana CM

Veteran filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaja recently expressed his views on the recent meeting between Tollywood representatives and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy. Sharing his perspective, Tammareddy noted that the meeting appeared to be initiated by individuals rather than an official industry gathering.

"I was not invited to the meeting, and upon inquiry, I learned that the Chamber did not organize it. The film industry represents various sectors united under a single Chamber. Any official discussion about industry matters should ideally involve all stakeholders," he said.

Commenting on the involvement of Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju, Tammareddy stated, "The FDC chairman attended the meeting along with select individuals. It seems the agenda primarily focused on resolving the issues stemming from Pushpa 2, including the Allu Arjun incident. The matter has now been settled. However, addressing producer-specific issues and asking the CM for ticket rate hikes is not ideal. Our industry should find solutions independently."

Tammareddy reiterated his stance on the controversial practice of benefit shows.

"I've always said benefit shows are unnecessary. Premieres can be organized, but benefit shows create unnecessary disputes. The film industry should focus on contributing to societal causes through meaningful projects, like the social films previously made by Allu Arjun, Sukumar, NTR, and Chiranjeevi."

Speaking about the growth of the Telugu film industry, he remarked, "Tollywood has already reached global recognition, and Hyderabad is a hub for films across languages. Initiatives like international film festivals and the Gaddar Awards planned for 2025 require robust infrastructure, with dedicated offices in Hyderabad."

Reflecting on his interaction with Allu Arjun, Tammareddy shared, "I advised him just as we would caution our children to be careful after a mistake."
