Director C.S.Amudhan who made Tamil cinema's first ever spoof film 'Tamizh Padam' has teamed up with its hero 'Mirchi' Siva for its sequel. The film was announced a few months back.

Now it has been announced that the film titled as 'Tamizh Padam 2.0' will be hitting the screens on May 25, 2018 and the shoot commences in January. 

The announced has been made by actor Siddharth who has been a good friend of Producer Sashikanth of Y KNot studies which will be bankrolling the film. 

In typical C.S.Amudhan style the makers have made fun of Tamilrockers the notorious pirated website which releases pirated copies of new Tamil films on the day of theatrical release. The poster of 'TP 2.0' says that the film will be releasing in theaters on May 26th while it will be out in Tamilrockers on May 26th.
