The big day is here and the counting of votes for the Tamil Nadu assembly elections has begun and in a few hours time we will be knowing who will be ruling the state for the next five years the DMK led front or the ADMK-BJP.
At the time of this writing the postal votes have been counted and DMK leading in close to 50 seats while the ADMK has managed only half the number with the Congress taking 2 and the BJP drawing a blank.
In the star constituency of Coimbatore South, the Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan is leading by a good margin followed by Congress's Mayura Jayakumar. Vanathi Srinivasan on whom the BJP was banking on to win is in third place. These are very early trends and the real situation will emerge once the real counting of EVMs begin.
