Kerala has turned out to be a battlefield, ever since the Supreme court pronounced its verdict on allowing women inside Sabarimala temple, and following this, there have been multiple protests since January 2, after two women below 50 years of age were allowed inside Sabarimala Temple. The protests have involved hurling of bombs and involved a death as well.
Amidst all the damages and violence that is happening in Kerala, a daring act of a Tamilnadu cop has been trending and has turned him into a hero. A video of the cop facing the protesters indulging in violence during the hartal and stopping them from destroying buses has gone viral across social media and all media platforms.
The cop, Sub Inspector Mohan had been at the Kaliyakkavilai border with a very small team, and with the area being a busy spot where protests could lead to heavy traffic jam, Mohan instantly acted and challenged the protesters to come and touch the bus if they were men. This act of bravery by the cop to face angry protesters boldly has been appreciated and he was also given a reward by the managing director of KSRTC.
