BJP Tamil Nadu Unit president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararan is to embark on a State-wide tour from this Friday (16th February).

Vocal on issues concerning people in general and the party in particular, Tamilisai was speaking to newsmen in the national capital yesterday when she revealed her plans to tour the State. “I have petitioned the Centre to abandon the idea of closing don the Ordinance Clothing Factory (OCF) in Avadi off Chennai,” she said.

“I have spoken to Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javdekar requesting him to rid the NEET of the many flaws which were pointed out last year.  I have also urged him to ensure that the common medical entrance test contains more questions from the syllabus being studied by students in States,” she added.

“I shall be touring the State (of Tamil Nadu) for a week from 16th till 23rd February with the main objective of strengthening the party at grassroots level in all the 65,000 polling booth localities in the State. The tour is also intended to spot crises/problems in each locality which require urgent attention of the Govt. I’m hopeful of creating a positive change and impact with my tour,” Tamilisai concluded.
