Tamilian Aziz Ansari first Asian-American to win Best Actor Golden Globe

Indian-American actor Aziz Ansari who received the Best Actor Golden Globe Award on the 7th of January is the first male of Asian origin to ever recieve the honor. The Stand Up comedian turned actor received the prestigious accolade for his role in the comedy series 'Master of None' in which he plays the role of Dev Shah. He has also won an Emmy for writing the show.
Born in Columbia, South Carolina to Fatima and Shaukath who migrated to the US from Tamil Nadu , Ansari has written that his grandmother and many other relatives still live back in India and he visits once every six years or so. The incredibly talented comedian has also revealed that as a child he spoke Tamil very fluently but now though it is shaky he uses it to exclusively chat with his parents clandestinely when white people are around.
