Of late, Big Boss Season 7 has stirred renewed attention by a leading political personality issuing a warning. The leader, President Velmurugan, from the Tamil Vazhvu Urimai Party, had warned against the aired episodes of the show.

But in its seventh season, Bigg Boss faces allegations that some of its participants crossed the permissible limits by staging intimate and bedroom scenes. President Velmurugan underlined the original purpose of the show for entertainment, which he ruled had crossed all the limits.

Reacting to the grievances, President Velmurugan desperately pleaded with the show's broadcasting channel, Vijay TV, to take corrective measures forthwith on an immediate footing. He warned that failure to address these issues forthwith could spell disastrous consequences not only for the channel but also for its eminent anchor figure, Kamal Haasan.

President Velmurugan has been taking a tough stand against the explicit content in Bigg Boss that is creating ripples all over, opening up debates on whether television entertainment can move into morally dangerous territory. And the expressed concern of the leader started a broader vocality within society on the responsibility of television networks to imperatively maintain standards and ensure content for their viewers.
