A video of a Tamil television actor allegedly attempting suicide went viral on social media and the concerned person has released another clip explaining what really happened. 'Kaatrukenna Veli' is one of the television serials on Vijay TV airing currently that is a favorite amongst not only housewives but also youngsters.

Young actor Raghavendra is playing the role of a college friend of the heroine Vanilla in 'Kaatrukenna Veli' and he had also gained recognition playing the character of Puli in the classic serial 'Kanaa Kaannum Kalangal' in the same channel. It is said that he has had no work lately and was under stress.

Raghavendra had posted a video on his social media page a few days ago in which he was seen lying in a hospital bed with drips being administered to him. He had captioned the video that this situation arose because of love failure.

Raghavendra has posted another clarification video in which he has explained that he had posted the previous video as a joke and that it was not shot in a hospital but at his own house. He has written "Pls don't spread rumours...Sorry for that video...Periya thappu da saamy...Dai na Edhukku da saaganum...I have my parents to look....Pls understand already iam into trouble on giving many interviews few months before"
