Tamil television actress Nilani arrested

The May 22nd police shooting that killed 13 Sterlite protestors has been a burning issue in Tamil Nadu over the past month and many debates are raging till date. Television actress Nilani had released a video condemning the police comparing the incident to the Sri Lankan army attack on Tamils.
Nilani was on a television serial set and was wearing a police assistant commisioner uniform for her role. She had stated that she was absolutely ashamed to wear the uniform. The cops had registered a cases against Nilani under four sections and had issued an arrest warrant. Nilani was arrested today at Coonoor in the Nilgiris by the Chennai Vadapalani police.
