Tamil superstar beats Allu Arjun's all-time record

South Indian movies dubbed into Hindi are a rage when they come with typical masala trappings. More than Tamil movies, Telugu commercial potboilers have had a special place in North India. It is in this context that Allu Arjun's 'Sarrainodu' in Hindi clocked 5.34 million views (on YouTube) in 24 hours when it was released in 2016.
Beating that record by a fairly good margin is Kollywood superstar Ajith's 'Vivegam'. Its Hindi dubbed version most recently mopped up 5.48 million views in 24 hours. 'Duvvada Jagannadham' at 5.10 million views is at No. 3.
Allu Arjun continues to be the most popular Tollywood or even south Indian star in north India. He is way ahead of his contemporaries in terms of popularity, thanks to his excellent dances and style quotient.
