Stuntmen are one of the pillars of an action movie who risk their lives doing dangerous stunts so that the hero can get the claps from the audience. 28-year-old stunt actor Vivek hailing from Tamil Nadu died tragically in an onset accident on Monday during the making of the Kannada movie 'I Love You Rachu' in Beddadi, Karnataka.
It is said that during the shooting of the stunt choreographed by Vinod, Vivek got electrocuted and dies instantly while another stuntman was injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The director Shankar S Raj, producer Guru Deshpande and stunt choreographer Vinod were called in for an inquiry by the police.
'I Love You Rachu' stars Ajay Rao and Rachita Ram in the lead roles and the former while speaking to newspersons accused the production team of negligence that cost the life of Vivek.
A few months earlier a tragic accident occurred on the sets of Tamil director Shankar's 'Indian 2' starring Kamal Haasan when a giant crane collapsed and crushed to death three crew members.
