It's known that 'Pelli Choopulu' has been remade in Tamil as 'Pon Ondru Kandein'. Produced by Gautam Menon, it was to star Vishnu Vishal in the role of Vijay Devarakonda, while Ritu Varma is played by Tamannah Bhatia.
The project has hit a roadblock with the hero walking out of the project due to scheduling problems. Like many Menon films, this too has been delayed and so, Vishnu couldn't help it but call it quits as he has other commitments to meet.
As a director, Menon is currently doing 'Enai Noki Paayum Thotta' with Dhanush and 'Dhruva Natchathiram' with Vikram.
