Tamil Nadu: Engineering student arrested for harassing female classmate with morphed photos

A 22-year-old man from Thiruvallur was arrested by the Thiruverkadu police for allegedly harassing a woman with her morphed pictures and blackmailing her into sharing her nude photos with him.
The accused, identified as 22-year-old N Santhosh from Karasamangalam village, was the woman's classmate in an engineering college near Chennai. The woman recently received a morphed picture of herself on WhatsApp from the man, who demanded nude pictures from her. The woman blocked his number soon after. However, Santhosh allegedly continued to spread false information about her on social media, prompting her to approach the police.
The victim registered a complaint with the Thiruverkadu police, who traced the 22-year-old man with the help of the cyber cell. The accused was remanded in judicial custody after being booked for harassment.
