Let us take a look into some of the richest candidates of TN elections.

Vasanthakumar, contesting in Kanyakumari on behalf of Congress has movable assets worth 230 crores, immovable assets worth 182 crores, and his yearly income in 2017-18 happened to be 29 crores, and has loans worth 154 crores. Kanimozhi, who contests in Thoothukudi from DMK, has movable assets worth 21 crores, immovable assets worth 8.92 crores, and her yearly income between 2017-18 was 1.40 crores and she has bank loans worth 1.92 crores.

DMK's Nilgiris candidate, former central minister A.Raja has movable assets worth 2.80 crores, immovable assets worth 31 lakhs, and his earnings in the 2017-18 financial year was 9.95 lakhs. Former central minister TR Balu, who contests from Sriperumbudur as DMK candidate, holds immovable assets worth 1.39 crores, movable assets worth 9 crores and 2017-18 income as 14 lakhs. BJP candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan of Thoothukudi constituency owns movable assets worth 1.50 crores, immovable assets worth 50 lakhs, and she had an income of 9.33 lakhs in 2018-19, and has loans worth 1.87 lakhs.

As per the details furnished by ADMK MP Thambidurai, he owns movable assets worth 91 lakhs, immovable assets worth 1.92 lakhs and an yearly income of 9.31 lakhs between 2017-18. Sivagangai constituency BJP candidate H.Raja has 50 lakhs worth immovable properties, 77 lakhs worth movable properties and had an income of 6.61 lakhs between 2017-18. MDMK candidate Ganesamoorthy of Erode has immovable assets worth 33 lakhs, and earnings of 4.93 lakhs in 2017-18 and has bank loan of Rs 20 lakhs and sixty thousand.

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal party leader Thol.Thirumavalavan has movable assets worth 44 lakhs, immovable assets worth 58 lakhs, 2018-19 earnings of 13 lakhs and bank loans worth 4 lakhs. Central Chennai candidate of Makkal Needhi Maiam, Kameela Nasser has movable properties worth 18 lakhs, immovable properties worth 4 crores, yearly income of 14 lakhs in 2017-18 and loans worth 50 lakhs. Thirunavukarasar, who is contesting in Trichy on behalf of Congress has movable properties worth 4.38 lakhs, immovable assets worth 27 lakhs, an income of 5.57 lakhs between 2018-19 and his loans are worth 40,000 rupees.
