Tamil Nadu government allows 12 industries to open

The government of India ordered a 21 day lockdown starting March 24th which ends on April 15th and with just a week to go for that the Tamil Nadu government has today passed orders allowing twelve industries to open with immediate effect. The industries that have been included in the essential services are textiles, foundries, paper, sugar, pesticides, glass, chemicals, cement, iron, manure, etc.

The TN government has also given immediate permission to private industries that had sought permission to produce coronavirus ventilators, coronavirus testing equipment, malaria and vitamin c drugs etc. The health secretary Beela Rajesh today stated that the curfew would only be lifted after a joint decision by the governments which will be decided at a later date.
