The newly elected Tamil Nadu Film Producer`s Council President Vishal has announced that the industry will go on an indefinite strike if the State and the Central Governments did not take action against piracy and also raise film ticket prices.

The Tamil Film industry is in the doldrums as the pirated versions of newly released films are available on the very same day as the film releases. The TNFPC have decided to send requests to the State and Central Government regarding the piracy issues and also to raise the cap on ticket prices.
