The official updates on the coronavirus patients in Tamil Nadu has seen an increase today by 56 compared to the past three days that reported 31, 38 and 25 respectively. The total number now stands at 1323 with 283 recovered and discharged and 15 losing their lives so far.

So far 29,673 samples have been tested and 23,934 people have been put under home quarantine and another 1891 are in hospital isolations. The total number of COVID 19 patients in the whole of India has now reached 13835 with 405 new cases in the last 24 hours and 4 new deaths out of a total of 452.

The Indian government has announced a few relaxations in the lockdown restriction from April 20th but the increase in the number of infections could affect it. The second phase of the lockdown has been extended from April 14th to May 3rd.
