The official update on the novel coronavirus patients in Tamil Nadu is encouraging for the second day in a row as only 38 have newly tested positive. Though only 31 were reported yesterday following many days of over 100 it is only a slight increase comparatively.

34 persons of the total 38 today are from the single source event while the total number in the state so far stands at 1242 out of the 21,994 samples from Individuals 17835 tested so far in the state.

Two new deaths have been reported and the total number of those who lost their lives is 14 ever since the outbreak while 115 have recovered so far with 37 today alone. The Tamil Nadu Health Minister C. Vijayabaskar has confirmed that there is no community spread of the COVID 19 in the state so far.
