In a shocking incident reported from Chennai's Villivakkam, a 15-year-old boy has been arrested after he was found guilty of torturing his younger sister and raping her multiple times.

The teenager and his sister had been living with their mother and her husband for over a year now as their father had left them following a domestic dispute. The incident came to light when the victim, who is just a year younger than her brother, informed her classmate regarding the incident, who revealed the same to her parents. Based on a complaint filed by them, the Villivakkam police registered a case and interrogated the accused and his sister. The 14-year-old girl revealed that the boy used to tie up her hands and legs and then rape her. He reportedly threatened her of dire consequences if she disclosed the matter to their mother.

The accused has been and remanded in judicial custody. He has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
