Chennai: Man sexually assaults 17-year-old college girl, impregnates her

A 22-year-old man in Tamil Nadu's Chennai was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor girl in the city.
The man, identified as Siva Prakash, allegedly used to stalk the 17-year-old college student and eventually had sexual relations with the minor girl after promising to marry her. Siva Prakash, who resides in Ponneri, is employed in a private firm. When the girl's parents found out that she was pregnant, they registered a complaint against Siva Prakash at the all-women police station in Ponneri.
A case was registered against the accused under the POCSO Act, following which he was arrested and remanded in judicial custody. Investigation of the matter is currently underway.
