Chennai: Man sets himself on fire after wife refuses to make dosa

In a shocking incident, a man from Chennai’s Kundrathur set himself ablaze allegedly after his wife refused to make him dosa.

The man, identified as 66-year-old Ravichandran, resided in Periyar Nagar and was reportedly a raging alcoholic. He would return home drunk nearly every single night and get into a verbal altercation with his wife. He got back home in a drunken state on Friday night as well and demanded his wife to make him dosa for dinner. His infuriated wife refused to do so and left the house.

The inebriated man, who was allegedly angry and confused, poured kerosene all over his body and set himself on fire. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
