Following the recovery of the first infected patient from Tamil Nadu nearly a week ago, another positive case of coronavirus has been reported in Chennai.

The infected man reportedly hails from Delhi and has been quarantined. His condition is reportedly stable and he remains under observation at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital in Chennai. Further details regarding his travel history are awaited. The total number of cases in India currently stands at 151 with 3 reported deaths.

The novel coronavirus, now officially called COVID-19, has claimed the lives of more than 7900 people and infected over 200000 people across the world. The virus was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, in China. As the death toll and overall cases began rising rapidly across the world, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global health emergency and the outbreak has now been labelled a pandemic.
