In a shocking incident reported from Chennai, a 26-year-old man slashed a minor girl's throat after stalking her for several months and sexually abusing her.

The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon when the man, identified as Nithyanathan, forcibly entered the 13-year-old girl's house in Aminjikarai and sexually abused her before assaulting her physically. He had allegedly been stalking her for months and even made a proposal to her a couple of months ago, which she turned down. The girl informed her parents regarding the same, and they had, in turn, informed Nithyanathan's father, warning him to leave their daughter alone. Despite the threats, the stalker forced his way inside the girl's house on Wednesday afternoon after she got back home from an exam that happened in Shenoy Nagar and was all alone in the house.

The neighbours rushed to the girl's rescue when they heard her cries for help and took her to the Kilpauk Government Hospital. The girl is currently receiving treatment at the hospital while the man is on the run.
