The Tamil Nadu's complete statewide lockdown has come into force from 6 pm today and will remain till 6 am on April 1st. There is widespread confusion among citizens how to tackle the situation and what all they can get and what will be unavailable. All shops, educational institutions, government offices and private businesses will be closed. Bad news for alcohol lovers is that the TASMAC shops will down their shutters for the stipulated period. Autorickshaws and private taxis will be off the roads.
Essential services such as food, groceries, milk, medical stores, hospitals, Ambulance services will function as usual. Private vehicles will be allowed to carry only sick people from their houses to the hospital and back. Hotels are allowed to function and will be allowed to give away parcels but no dining in.
People are discouraged from moving out to combat the coronavirus but if necessary to go out one-meter distance should be maintained between one another. Five person groups are not allowed and even shops will be restricting this in their premises. The best way to fight off the COVID 19 is to stay home as much as possible and practice social distancing and hygiene by washing hands is the order of the day and we request all our readers to follow the same and come out of this crisis triumphantly.
