Tamil hit Mozhi as Maatarani Mounamidi in Telugu

Jyothika, who is the film's female lead, called it the best film she had ever done. Mozhi, directed by Radhamohan of Akasamantha and Gaganam fame, is releasing as Matarani Mounam in Telugu. Produced originally by Prakash Raj, it stars Prithvi Raj of Urusu fame. Released in Telugu by N Achyutha Kantha Rao of Indus Inspirations, it is a film high on morality, the makers say.

The film is of high standards in all respects – be it the story, performances, production or moral values, says the producer. Sashank Vennelakanti has written the movie in such a way that the original flavour was not missed. This one will be a landmark film in Radhamohan's career. The film which has fetched the Best Actress award to Jyothika will be released on March 17, he said.

The Telugu version will see Brahmanandam as the secretary of a housing society committee, and he will have you in splits. Music has been released on Aditya.

The film has music by Vidyasagar. Late Veturi is the lyricist. Vennelakanti has written three songs.
