Popular Bollywood actor Vijay Raaz, well known among Kollywood audience as the villain of the Siva Karthikeyan starrer superhit Kaaki Sattai had been arrested by Gondia Police on Tuesday following a complaint by a crew member of the Bollywood film Sherni.

Sherni is being shot in the jungles of Balaghat, 40 km away in Madhya Pradesh. Gondia Additional Superintendent of Police Atul Kulkarni said that the female crew member came with the complaint that she was molested by Vijay Raaz in a hotel where the film crew is staying.

On the basis of her complaint, the Gondia Police had lodged an FIR and arrested Raaz on Tuesday morning, and a local court granted him conditional bail. Cops had collected evidence of the incident before arresting Vijay Raaz, as there are eye-witnesses from the crew who testified that the accusation was true.
