Jiiva, who struck gold in Telugu with Rangam way back in 2010, has a big release coming up again. Pokiri Raja, the dubbed version of Pokkiri Raja, directed by Ramprakash Rayappa, will hit the screens on March 25, the day on which Oopiri will be released.

The Telugu rights have been acquired for a fancy price by Veera Venkata Sathyanarayana, and V Honey Pramod. The producers say, "Jiiva and Hansika Motwani need no introduction. Their films have always got good appreciation in the two Telugu States. That's the reason why we are releasing Pokiri Raja on a grand scale. This is a full-on comedy entertainer. D Imman's music is great. There was severe competition for the rights."

Sibiraj, Ramdoss, Manobala, and others are part of the cast. Cinematography is by Anji. Editing is by VJ Sabu Joseph.
