Important request from TFPC to film producers

Tamil film producers see the satellite channels as an effective marketing tool to reach to the family audience directly to their homes. This made them give the songs, trailers and clippings to the Television channels without getting any monetary benefit. It is alleged that this practice is benefiting the private channels rather than the film's producers. Many TV channels use these content they get without shelling a penny to make their own programs and gain advertisement revenue through that.
To stop this practice and to increase the gain for the film producers, the new administration of Tamil Film Producers Council has issued a new request to all Tamil film producers.
"Dear Producers, hereby we request you to not give any songs, clippings, trailers and letters to any channel for free of cost. Lets bring back our honour and value for our content." the communique from TFPC states
At this stage this new communication from the TFPC stands as a request. Only time will answer how this is received among the film producers and how the private satellite channels react to the situation when the request is implemented.
