Tamil Film Producer Council's bold decision regarding the use of FEFSI workers in Kollywood has caused a great stir in the film industry.

Yesterday, the Tamil Film Producer Council (TFPC) decided that the Tamil film producers could use not only FEFSI workers but any workers in their films. TFPC passed a statement in this regard in a meeting held yesterday. The press release reads:

"The President, Secretaries, Vice-Chairmen, the Executive Committee, the Treasurer and members of the Executive Committee attended the Tamil Film Producers Association meeting held on 02.05.2022 and some key resolutions were passed.

There was a memorandum of understanding between the TFPC and the FEFSI Union for many years. In that regard, the pact for the next 3-years was signed by both parties on 09.03.2022. The Executive Committee meeting unanimously passed a resolution that the Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations be terminated from today 02.05.2022 as the FEFSI Union acted in contempt of the pact.

Based on the above resolution, we are kindly informing that the members of the Tamil Film Producers Association from (03.05.2022) can use any person of their wish as a worker in their movies.

Thank you."
