Tamil cinema's veteran villain actor passes away - Film industry mourns

Veteran Indian film and Television actor Salim Ghouse passed away today at the age of 70. The film industry is currently mourning his death.

Actor Salim Ghouse made his debut as a villain with the character 'Zinta' in the Kamal Haasan and Prabhu starrer 'Vetri Vizha' produced by Shivaji Productions. He started his career as a television actor and went on to star as a powerful villain against leading actors like Kamal, Vijayakanth and Vijay.

Salim Ghouse acted in many films including ‘Dharmaseelan’, ‘Thiruda Thiruda’, ‘Chinna Gounder’ and ‘Vettaikkaran'. He has acted not only in Tamil but also in Telugu and Hindi films. Also, he has played the villain in Andrea Jeremiah's upcoming film 'Kaa'.

According to the latest reports, Salim's wife Anita Salim told the media that the actor passed away on Thursday morning due to a cardiac arrest. The entire film industry is expressing their condolences for the death of the senior actor.
