The launch of the book ‘The Best of Tamil Cinema- 1931 to 2010’ written by G. Dhananjayan, Chief of UTV Motion Pictures, South was a glittery affair yesterday, March 2, with legendary film personalities such as Kamal Haasan, Balu Mahendra, Mahendran, Singeetham Seenivasarao and Bhagyaraj gracing the occasion. From the present generation Selvaraghavan, Cheran, Thangar Bachaan, Parthiban and Mysskin lighted up the show.

‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan launched the first copy of the book that talks about the best films in the 80 years history of Tamil cinema. All the eminent personalities who spoke on the occasion unanimously agreed that the two volumes book will be a rich historic documentation about Tamil cinema as an art and industry to serve the coming generation of people.
