Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are back to spell their charm on the silver screens with the next outing ''Tamasha''. But, this time it even more special, as it is the talented director Imtiaz Ali, who has taken the burden of bringing them together for us. Now, if you are thinking as to with such amazing star cast paired with an even better director, the movie will obviously be a hit, then let me tell, that all that glitters is not necessarily gold. Read on to whether the movie manages to create a same kind of stir that ''Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani'', ''Rockstar'' or even ''Jab We Met'' did. Let the Tamasha unfold already...

As the tagline of the movie goes, ''Why always the same story?'', the story sure is different, but in parts. Here goes the story... Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) meets Tara (Deepika Padukone) or Don and Mona Darling, as they address themselves, meet in a far far land of Corsica and decide to stick to only lies to introduce themselves. They do not reveal anything about them and spend seven days in the French island as strangers. However, the twist in the tale takes place when they both return to India. Tara, who has already fallen for Ved meets him in Delhi, only to see a totally different man. Ved, who has been under the pressure of his father, works for a boring company and hates his life. Now, will Tara be able to confess her love for a changed Ved? And how will Ved move on to make his life just as he wants it to be? Forms the rest of the story...

Let’s just skip everything and start with what a wonder this Deepika Padukone lady is. She expresses, emotes, delivers and acts like a marvel in every scene. You cannot get your eyes of her in even a single scene. Ranbir, whose character the movie revolves around, plays his part with confidence and so much ease. He is brilliant and the switch in his character from being a fun-loving guy to a boring machine is commendable. And above all that, there is Ranbir and Deepika sparkling chemistry that makes us forget all the flaws that the movie may contain.

Ravi Verma, who had earlier done the cinematography for Rockstar, has shot the beautiful locales of Corsica in a brilliant manner. The increase in tourism of Corsica in the coming future goes to Tamasha and Ravi. While we love the parts spent by the lead pair in Corsica, with the fun, filmy dialogues and all the ''Tamasha'', the movie sure drops pace by the second half of the film, as they return to India. Ved becomes boring and abruptly starts shouting at every person he meets, Tara, well, she just disappears. Deepika''s character isn’t given much depth in the second half, which is just not done, really...

The songs, which have already been on the top of music charts, are fitted aptly in the plot.

On a whole, this Tamasha needs to be unfolded by each of us atleast ones. Do give it a shot for Ranbir and Deepika, please...
