Tamannah had a dream run 2016 with three super hits in a row - namely, 'Oopiri' ('Thozha'), 'Dharmadurai' and 'Devi' ('Abhinetri' in Telugu flopped, though). She is presently acting in 'Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan' opposite Simbu, and has also bagged the lead role in the Tamil remake of critically acclaimed blockbuster 'Queen'. She awaits the release of 'Baahubali-The Conclusion' this April.
Now the talented beauty has bagged a big project that too with Gautham Menon who is one of the most celebrated directors of our times.
Tamannah will be playing the female lead in the Tamil remake of the Telugu super hit romantic comedy 'Pelli Choopulu'. Notably, the Telugu version featured Ritu Varma, hardly a star heroine.
The film will be directed by Senthil Veerasamy, a former associate of Menon.
