The four southern remakes of the Hindi film 'Queen' are gearing up for a release soon. The Telugu version (titled 'That Is Mahalakshmi') features Tamannaah Bhatia as the lead, while the Tamil version (titled 'Paris Paris) has Kajal Aggarwal reprising Kangana Ranaut's role.

If one has to go by the pre-release videos, between the two star actresses, it's easily Tamannaah who comes across as the 'queen' of performance. The lyrical video of 'Katha Modalavake', the film's single, has some shots of a bespectacled Tamannaah sobbing and showing her vulnerability. If one were to compare her performance with that of Kajal in the Tamil counterpart, one tends to conclude that the 'Baahubali' actress has got into the skin of the character in a better way.

The Telugu version has been directed by Prasanth Varma (of 'AWE' fame) and Neelakanta (who exited the project due to creative differences). The remakes' music is by Amit Trivedi.
