Tamannaah Bhatia has bewildered many with her post on racism. The 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy', taking to Twitter, supported the All Lives Matter sentiment, which runs in parallel with the Black Lives Matter sentiment. (Note: There are many who believe that the ALM social media movement is a counter to the BLM movement).
The actress, in her post, said, "Your silence will not protect you. Doesn't every life matter, human or animal? Muting any form of creation is against the universal law. We must unlearn and learn to be human again, express compassion and practice love."
While the post is non-controversial, the accompanying pic is definitely bizarre. Nobody is able to understand why Tamannaah has applied black colour on her neck and cheeks. To prove a point against racism, why does she have to do that? Many are asking Tamannaah to explain her pic. Others are asking her to withdraw it and issue an apology.
The tweet has to be read in the context of the ongoing anti-racism, Black Lives Matter protests in the US.
