Do the film actors have to take a stance on the political happenings of the state. And if so, to what extent. The decision of state division and the resistance in the aftermath to keep the state united has spread its fire to film people as well.

Actress Tamanna got a taste of the same when she was at the Vizag airport for a film shoot. United AP activists stopped her for a while and pressed her to shout 'Jai Samaikyandhra' slogans. The actress declined from doing so, politely reminding them that she is an artiste and is untouchable from any political controversies of the state. The Police had to act hard on the activists for allowing the artiste on her travel.
